Hey,

Time is flying by, and I’m starting to feel like I’m not making the progress to actually show for it. I think it’s time to check in on the goals/resolutions/vision boards.

The vision board that is still on my watch screen

A check in 90 days post new year

It’s good to evaluate where you’re at and ask yourself some questions before determining the next moves for the next 3 months.

It’s perfectly normal to fall off the wagon. We are actually expected to fall off around mid-February. So, even if you have kept up with only one of your goals, that’s still better than the majority of people who make a goal/resolution at the start of the year. So let’s evaluate the goals/resolutions/vision board:

Which ones have I kept up with?

So far, I have managed to post a blog post, 3 pieces of content on my IG and send an newsletter update - weekly. All whilst, trying to find a new house, doing my 9-5, getting chartered and recognised for content creation in my industry (in STEM) and completing my exercise rings on my apple watch. (And that’s only the stuff I am willing to share with you)

Which ones have I not kept up with?

Established a reasonable content routine, got a promotion, change career pathway and I took a month off from running.

Of the ones that I have not kept up with, which one do I want to re-instate?

I want to get back into running. My health and wellbeing have such a big effect on my ability to turn up everyday, and getting back on a run, especially with the sun being out longer, will be such a great way to start my days.

Based on the last 90 days, is there anything new I want to change?

I want to incorporate stretching into a weekly routine, and then gradually increase the frequency.

Why those questions?

It’s always good to see the positives in what you have done. The little dopamine you get from acknowledging your achievements, will get you through the important part, which is the reflective questions.

Choosing only 1 to retry, reduces the overwhelm, and really forces you to prioritise what works for you in the present day. At the start of the new year your ambitions are normally very high, so they won’t always be realistic. Now you have seen 2026, you can evaluate what is manageable right now, much better.

Finally checking if there is anything else you want to change, is based on the fact that past you, created a fictional version of future you to create those goals. Now present day you is witnessing the everyday environment and making decisions based on those, that affect how you achieve those goals. You have more information. Use that information from the 90 days prior, to determine what makes sense for the next 90 days for present day you.

Anyways, I hope those questions can help you reclarify your goals for the next 90 days. And we can see what that brings in the future.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great weekend.
