Another year has gone by
And with that the 2025 season has come to an end
(Read time <5 mins)
It has officially been 1 whole year since I started this newsletter. I sent nearly 50 emails last year, which is mind blowing, since the blog wasn’t as consistent as the newsletters. Last year I started this with no idea on what I wanted to do with this community. It’s still a little chaotic, but with the consistency in posting, I at least am learning a new skill, have a creative outlet, and I’m just having fun with my blog universe. (The blog, IG, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest - hell yeah!)

My watch background with my 2026 vision board
I don’t tend to take resolutions seriously, as I don’t often have the motivation to do something. But this year, I have gone all out with a ✨Vision Board✨ AND I intend to stick to it, and here is how…
Sticking to my Vision Board plans
I added ‘methods to achieve’ on my board - It’s all well and good, saying ‘I want to achieve X, this year’, but without mentioning at least 1 way of how you will attempt to achieve it, how will you know where to start?
a) For example, I want to actually try and monetise either the blog or this newsletter, and I noted down a few sites and tools I can try out to get me started on that way. I’ll see if they work, and in that time I will be introduced to other methods, because I tried something.
I didn’t set deadlines - People say you can’t have an objective without a deadline. If its a 2026 goal, why would I pressure myself to achieve it by June, when I could achieve it in October? I like deadlines as a form of guidance, not a ‘hard limit’. I can’t avoid hard limits in work, but in my personal life, why would I create hard limits if I don’t have to?
I made it fit MY aesthetic - My vision board is bright and colourful (and to some, messy). But it’s my vision board. I have seen those Pinterest Board ideas, and they look so neat and aesthetic, but I know I’m not that kind of person, nor do I aspire to be. So, I made the board resonate to me, because I will WANT to stare at it, and use that visual stimulation to remind me of what I want to achieve, how and why.
I made sure it wasn’t vague - A picture does paint a 1000 words, but a picture + some more words does an even better job than the picture alone.
a) For example, I want to ensure that I stay consistent with content, and I normally struggle with keeping up with content ideas. So, I noted down several types of repeat content ideas (such as my after work routines, companies I want to create UGC for as well as some opportunities for signature series this year) that I can make when I can’t think of anything. I also made a content schedule so I know when to think of ideas, when to edit/ write posts and newsletters, and what needs to be filmed etc.
I keep tabs on my progress - I have my board as my phone and watch screensavers, and I keep a bullet journal of my daily thoughts. I use the chance to write in it to reflect on my day, as well as note progress on my goals. By the end of the year, I hope to have 365 days worth of notes on how 2026 went.
Weekly reflection:
I’m trying something new this year, similar to my bullet journal, except this is a key thing I have learnt this week, and I will hopefully have 52 of these by the end of the year.
I’m not always a victim, but some people are natural a-holes. The sooner I learn that, the quicker I learn to ignore their behaviours and remove them from my life permanently.
Thanks for reading and if you are planning to do a vision board this year, I wish you the very best on the goals you want to achieve.
